TourismOhio has begun paid marketing toward seasonally-focused campaigns throughout the year. Year-round we utilize digital advertising and search engine marketing, for instance, to increase visits to Ohio.org including our Ohio Adventure Trails landing page which has grown to 65 trails comprised of more than 1,000 destinations and attractions throughout the state. Due in part to these marketing efforts, Ohio.org pageviews have increased by 7% year over year and Ohio.org is on its way to receiving more than 8 million pageviews.

In the summer, we helped visitors beat the heat across the state with the 20-stop Ohio Ice Cream Trail. As the temperatures dropped and the leaves changed, we showed visitors how to find their #FallidaysInOhio with adventures like the 31-stop Ohio Buckeye Candy Trail.

Last week we launched our Holidays In Ohio campaign which features our Ohio Holiday Lights Trail complete with 30 dazzling displays with millions of lights. We’ve also assembled an exciting array of content to inspire unforgettable experiences including Holiday Getaways, Can’t Miss Events, Distinctive Holiday Shopping and Cheers to the Holidays.

Located within roughly 600 miles of 60 percent of the U.S. population, Ohio receives an average of 20 million visits in November and December. This influx of visitors creates the perfect opportunity for us to help Ohioans and visitors alike plan distinctive holiday experiences through the Holidays In Ohio campaign.
