Join us in encouraging consumers to plan their Ohio trips on May 9

On Black Friday consumers shop. On Amazon Day consumers order on Amazon. And, on Ohio Tourism Day we want consumers to plan their Ohio trips!

With only three weeks to go we have begun our consumer-focused messaging that Ohio Tourism Day, May 9, is a great day to plan an Ohio trip. Ohio has exciting year-round attractions and destinations from Amish Country to the Hocking Hills, great cities, inspiring art and museums, rich history, cool wineries, craft breweries, and more. We want consumers booking Ohio trips year-round but here is why May 9 is a great day to plan an Ohio trip:

  • The spring/summer vacation season has begun!
  • Ohio’s great amusement parks will soon be open!
  • The weather is warming up and pools and beaches will be open soon!
  • School will be out soon!
  • More people than ever are hearing the positive messaging in Ohio. Find It Here. commercials encouraging them to visit Ohio! Commercials are now airing in Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Indiana, West Virginia, and Kentucky!

On Ohio Tourism Day we will have over 90 exhibitors at the Statehouse, one of Columbus’ biggest TV personalities – Cameron Fontana – as emcee, and hundreds to thousands of attendees booking their Ohio trips in person. But this day is bigger than the event at the Statehouse.

Help promote Ohio Tourism Day and Ohio’s tourism industry by adding an Ohio Tourism Day notice to your website, sharing information with your email contacts, sending a press release, and posting on social media to encourage consumers to plan their Ohio trips!

As an industry, let’s share a unified message that May 9 is a great day to plan an Ohio trip!
