Peninsula Area Chamber of Commerce
Peninsula, located in the heart of the Cuyahoga Valley beside the Cuyahoga River, surrounded by Cuyahoga Valley National Park, and located between Cleveland and Akron, is a step away from life's hectic schedule. Peninsula is home to art galleries and studios, shops and places to eat, historic buildings and museums, festivals and special events, train rides, and hiking and biking trails.
Opportunities abound to experience the Peninsula area. Visitors may choose to ride the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad, rent a bicycle, or hike the Towpath Trail. Questing and the Historic Walking Tour along with museums and special events provide the framework for strolling through the Village of Peninsula and discovering something new. Art galleries, workshops, exhibits and festivals provide a first-hand involvement with the arts. Music in meadows, in historic buildings, in small hall venues, and around town welcomes visitors to enjoy music "up close". Visitors are invited to visit local farms to pick blueberries or attend a sheep shearing or select the perfect pumpkin. The Peninsula area also offers opportunities for downhill skiing, golfing, hill climbing, fishing, and cross country skiing. Sight-seeing and bird watching opportunities surround the area. Lodging is offered in bed and breakfasts, historic venues, and privately-owned buildings.
Peninsula is . . . nature, recreation, art, music, shopping, farms, dining, history and lodging. Explore Peninsula.
